Great service ,best italian food in toronto!

This restaurant used to be very good. Lately, the service is getting worst and the food is not as good as it used to be. No more atmosphere, the restaurant seems to have lost its soul.

My recent visit to Hornero was great. I had the ravioli, which was excellent, and the lady who waited on me was very pleasant. It's hard to find good ravioli in a restaurant these days, so it was a real treat. The prices were reasonable, too. I look forward to going back and trying the pizza.

Went there with my wife and friends. Service was slow but friendly. The food made the wait worth while. My wife and I had pizza, she had a no. 5 and I had a regular cheese, with artichoke and ham. Our friends had a pizza and thier kids had fettechini and the other had steak. Will go there every time I have a chance.

Entrees sauces tasted of alcohol, minestrone tasted like Lipton's chicken noodle with a few pieces of potato added, and tomato sauce tasted like it came out of a can. Worst Italian food I have ever paid for. Will never be back.

Great food, excellent atmosphere, better prices! Unfortunately the customer service has had its ups and downs, I am a regular so I know the experience with excellent customer service and I know the experience with poor customer service ... guess it depends on the day! Either which way the food and the price keeps me coming back!

Excellent atmosphere for dining

Unfortunately if you have good food and very bad customer service you wont go to spend some dollars in a place with very bad customer service. The waiter throws the food and coffee to the table. It was Sunday night when this happened, we asked to talk with the manager about it, and the waiter said one moment, then he come back and said actually I am the manager, we were impress for his attitude. We complied with him and he could not help us at all.

If the owner of the place is going to reed this, he should put more attention in his customer service and have professionals.

I can not recommend this place to my friends because they do not satisfy our expectations.

Unfortunately my latest visit 12/28 turned out to be a disappointment, not the food, the food is actually quite great, kudos to the Chef! The lack of customer service experienced in a restaurant that we visit almost weekly. Imagine recieving a Complimentary Dinner for 2 on your last visit because you are a great paying/tipping customer, only to be told on your next that when you present it, its not signed nor dated, sorry, too bad, so sad. As patrons, are we suppose to control and know that the staff have rules to follow if they give us something like that? The mere fact that the different waiter and owner flatly refused nor gave a crap and refused to accomodate anything, a small gesture of anything goes along way to a paying customer. Well, unfortunately, I have two choices, continue going and suck up the bad experience, or not return, the later for them I am afraid, my dollars will be spent on someplace else that appreciates good patrons and the importance of customer service.

The service was friendly and courteous, the food was excellent and the atmosphere perfect--all this and a very reasonable price.
